Apparently by January of last year a new version was released and the Parabola version is lagging behind Arch's. I tried to compile and test it, but it was excruciatingly slow on my machine (ThinkPad T400, not a build machine). I've removed all the patches except the search one, which I refactored to work with the changed files (relevant part moved from .h to .cpp upstream). (The other patches were removed as they are integrated into the upstream source by now). -- Kind Regards, Wael Karram. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... What I did is that I based the PKGBUILD off of Parabola's one, just got it to compile with the new version. So, the flags can probably be changed to match arch. As for the force on rm, I had to add it because it would fail in deleting some of the files sometimes (not there). I think the wip-quassel branch should be OK. I'll try to compile it and reply in the IRC channel. -- Kind Regards, Wael Karram. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Since then Arch has been actively cutting down the number of projects depending on `python2` in their repositories, and they have finally been able to drop it from our distribution, making it disappear from Parabola too. If you still have `python2` installed on your system consider removing it and any python2 package. If you still require the python2 package you can keep it around, but please be aware that there will be no security updates. URL: /news/from-arch-removing-python2-from-the-repositories/
