That was not my confusion but rather the ease with which some could got to
flathub, download steam or skype, and blow their freedom. Figuring it must be
ok. because 1. super easy to do, and 2. Parabola supports flatpaks so this is
intended right?

The licensing patch idea sounds interesting.
