[Assist] video in gnome web (epiphany)

I have recently installed parabola on a laptop, and have gnome desktop 
running under Wayland.  I am trying to play video clips from various web 
pages using gnome web (epiphany) browser, but the controls will not play 
the videos.  I installed Gstreamer and codecs, but did not help.  What 
else could I be missing?

I also loaded GNU Icecat and that works well, will play videos if I 
enable the java script.  What about gnome Web, that should be able to 
play video too, no?
