it sounds like you are using an older version of the ISO - if you have
the current version you would get a file on the desktop named
install.log if ever the graphical installer fails''you can see by the
file name which one you have and also in the boot screen

the best option is the "complete" edition - the install should succeed
even if there is no internet connection - then if there are any problems
with the installed system, those could be addressed in the standard way
