AFAIK parabola does not keep IRC logs - that is not important anyways - this
same issue applies to many software programs besides this one - the reason
it is this particular program that is in question today is because it was
recently added by arch

other programs have been rejected in the past by parabola for this same reason
that they serve no valid function other than to interact with a proprietary
service; i do not know of any that were deemed as acceptable by parabola

i dont know whether that goes beyond the FSDG or not; but parabola has a
history of taking freedom and privacy issues beyond what the FSDG strictly
requires
