I'm not knowledgable about kodi, but I am knowledgable about the servers: repo.parabola.nu redirects to a randomly chosen mirror (unless you stick `?noredirect` at the end of the URL), from the list of mirrors that claim to be up-to-date enough to have the file being requested. mirrors.fsf.org sometimes claims to be up-to-date when it has actually only done a partial sync, and doesn't yet have the files that it should based on its self-reported last-sync timestamp. repo.parabola.nu was probably redirecting you to to mirrors.fsf.org, which served the 404. For this reason, earlier today I temporarily disabled the FSF mirror from automatic mirror selection. And is there > any docs on that? notsystemd is a project to make all the parts of systemd work without the other parts. Right now, that means that you can use /bin/systemd-nspawn without using /lib/systemd/systemd as PID 1 (this is of particular interest to the Parabola developers who use OpenRC, as the Parabola packager tools use systemd-nspawn). You can also use /lib/systemd/systemd-udev without using systemd, but that's already true of plain systemd-udev, without the notsystemd fork. notsystemd is still in the early stages. I think the next steps are to get logind working without systemd (merge with elogind), and probabaly some of the init unit helpers. Of course, you could use notsystemd's /lib/systemd/systemd as your PID 1, but that wouldn't be meaningfully different than just running systemd. ... and I still haven't released notsystemd 233 or 234. -- Happy hacking, ~ Luke Shumaker From walker.justinw at gmail.com Mon Sep 11 15:54:19 2017 From: walker.justinw at gmail.com (Justin Walker) Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2017 09:54:19 -0500 Subject: [Assist] kodi official repo In-Reply-To: <87r2vdvqiw.wl-lukeshu@lukeshu.com> References: <20170910142439.1285a919@gmail.com> <87r2vdvqiw.wl-lukeshu@lukeshu.com> Message-ID: <20170911095419.31401919@gmail.com> That didn't fix it. I've pasted a longer section of the log here: https://bpaste.net/show/6d5f2e205d17 You can see that for add-ons from the official repo, it tries to download the .zip.md5 and can't find it, receiving the 404. For the one add-on from a 3rd party repo, it downloads the .zip without a problem from github. Looking at the XMBC mirror (http://mirrors.xbmc.org/addons/krypton/) and comparing it the Parabola repo, it looks like they're hosting the same sort of information. So, maybe my Kodi is configured incorrectly. Your description is better than mine. Letters become obscure, some straight lines seem to vanish, others seem to be bold. I started using another system for surfing the net. @invivo The problem is not the font that has been installed (I also have ttf-dejavu) but something changing fonts in my web browsers and mail client. I didn?t touch the settings but even if I do now, it does not solve the problem. I did install a font and made all adjustments (hinting, rgb, antialiasing and so on) some 5 years ago and it worked ever since. There have always been minor changes due to updates but there has never been a change that felt so exhausting on the eyes. It looks like only icedove, icecat and iceweasel are affected. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
