[Assist] No sound in Iceweasel

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with not getting any sound out of Iceweasel
(1:44.0.deb1-1). Other applications (e.g., mpv) produce sound fine, so I
know the rest of my setup is OK.

I tried running iceweasel in safe mode with a fresh profile, and watched
for any relevant debug messages, but saw nothing, but still no sound when
trying to, say, watch an HTML5 video. (The video plays, but no sound.)

Running something like google-talkplugin in iceweasel works fine (produces
and receives sound). (Of course in safe mode, this plugin does not run, so
I don't think it is the problem.)

Any tips for how to debug this?
