[Assist] Ethernet on BeagleBoard xM rev C

I installed Parabola GNU/Linux on my BeagleBoard xM rev C as per the
instructions in https://wiki.parabola.nu/ARM_Installation_Guide . The
system booted successfully and I have shell access through the serial
port. However, ethernet is not recognized. `ip link' only shows lo. What
might be the problem? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
