I'm in the process of making a list of parts to build a desktop computer. I search on h-node for NVIDIA videocards with functional 3D acceleration, and I found this[1]. The thing is that I cannot find the GK104 videocard model on newegg.com, but a lot of videocards that are GeForce GTX 760 shows up on my search[2]. So, I got into problems about which card to buy (in near future) because I don't know if this "GeForce GTX 760" relation between cards say something about their compatibly with the nouveau driver. Any recommendation? PS: yes, 3D acceleration is a must for me since I'll be doing advertisement design (and gaming from time to time)! It is better than a GTX 670? AFAIK, Blender don't uses GPU to work because it needs proprietary software (CUDA?) to do so. It's most a issue from blender and not from the videocard. -- Pax et bonum. It works well most of the time, but it has some subtle bugs with DRM/DRI. After several hours of continuous streaming HD video, it will start to bug out. Restarting X usually fixes this, but sometimes it requires a fufll reboot. I even had it cause a kernel panic once. That said, other users tell me that the 3D works great, and they've never hit the DRI issues I have, as they don't stream a ton of video for hours on end; where mine does, as my box is primarily a media station.
